Hellloooo! I have a serious blog traffic jam here but super excited to get moving on this one! Morgan and Gabe had a wonderfully simple and intimate fall wedding at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne. This church has a big sanctuary as well as the smaller chapel which was the original church built in 1885 (!!) and actually moved in its entirety from across the river to the current location. I have previously photographed baptisms in the main sanctuary but this was my first opportunity to shoot in the chapel so I really enjoyed it. I super-love old things. Can’t really beat old churches as far as that goes. Old jewelry might have to be the runner up! Then old houses….
Morgan and Gabe met through mutual friends and dated for five years. She works in marketing for the Amway arena and he builds props for Disney (including sculpting, welding, painting, you name it) which I think sounds REALLY awesome and fun. Gabe proposed under the arch in St. Louis while they were vacationing. These guys have a very sweet relationship which I hope comes through in the photos. I loved how Morgan and Gabe brought a vintage island style to their wedding. They had their reception under the tent at the Chart House and it was obvious to me that everyone had a lovely evening!
We stopped downtown on the way to the Chart House. It was a zombie night. I might be alone in this but I just really don’t get the zombie thing? Dana has tried to explain it to me a few times but I still end up saying, “but why?…” In any case, it was entertaining!
Very big Congratulations to Morgan and Gabe!
Next up as far as weddings go is Amy and Stan who I totally adore and hope to share with you this weekend. Between now and then I’ve got a few families and a maternity session, good stuff! OH AND I’m preparing orders and receiving holiday cards every day and I’m hosting a holiday open house at the studio this Friday from 4-8pm! Kristi has been very busy decorating and preparing gifts! Stop in for yummy hors d’uevres, holiday cheer and PRESENTS for 2011 clients! Sweet treats for everyone so don’t be shy even if you are not a current client, would love to see you there! (not so much a night for kiddos btw, I already had to break it to my own kids who quickly recovered after I mentioned the words baby-sitter. feelin the love!)
