Ryckman Park Nautical Wedding Melbourne Beach FL } Davy and Colby tie the Knot!

Davy and Colby’s nautical wedding was a pleasure to photograph. Not just because there were tons of beautiful, thoughtful details (what more would you expect from a bride with an event management degree) but because there were beautiful people involved -inside and out!  These two have wonderful families supporting their marriage. Davy shared with me early on that her grandfather was actually a photographer as well, which was just enough information to get me a wee bit nervous – in a good way!  In case you missed their proposal story be sure to look back on their awesome engagement shoot for details! Davy and Colby took an Alaskan honeymoon full of adventure and extreme sports – fun right?

The ceremony took place at Eastminster Presbyterian Church followed by an outdoor nautical reception in Melbourne Beach Florida at Ryckman Park (which included a huge tent, amazing details and a live band!)  Be sure to scroll all the way down for terrific wedding ideas and a complete list of vendors at the bottom.

How gorge is this Priscilla of Boston dress?

A gift from Colby, family pearls.

Charlotte at Decoratifs in Melbourne designed the Save the Dates and Invitations. Gorgeous style, unique presentation. Davy designed the additional maps and calendar inserts.

Seriously guys, rawrrrr… I love it all, the dress, the accessories, the linen suit, the sharks on his tie…

Link, as usual, your work is amazing. Davy said that all she asked for was various various shades of pink and in-season flowers. Giving your florist a little creative freedom (when you are working with someone awesome) is a great way to get breathtaking results.

Eau Gallie Florist also provided all the eclectic, nautical, natural center pieces. Home run- beautiful work.

Davy this is one of my favorites. I’m thinking Southern Bride…

Oh shoot but I love this one of you guys walking too!

I thought this was a fun combo, plus I wanted to offer a little contest. Free $50 AGP credit if you can guess which of these “hands” my assistant shot that day.  And, by assistant I mean my brother Devon. By my brother Devon I mean that handsome guy who agrees to be my assistant sometimes, lovingly referring to the job as being my (youknowhat) for the day, a bank manager here in Melbourne, single and an awesome catch for the right girl (and by right I mean someone I like of course duh.) I’ll give you a hint, it’s not just one of them. Leave your comments below, first one correct wins!

Green Turtle does a beautiful, professional and delicious job -every time.

Sue Ann Bakery!

The images shot after dark were some of my favorites that day.

As you can tell everyone had a blast – plenty of happiness to go around! Best wishes to Colby and Davy on your new life together!  I am honored to be your chosen photographer and looking forward to sharing more of your happiest moments in the future!  It’s the best part of my job I think, being with my clients in all the most memorable seasons of life!
