I shot my first senior portrait session of the season with Alexandra. I love love love seniors. It is sooooo much fun! I love the fashion aspect, their age and personalities and I love the accomplishment, excitement and hopefulness associated with senior year. For Alexandra’s shoot we had the most strange weather I’ve EVER had! It wasn’t rainy enough to cancel, in fact it really seemed to be clearing out (and in case you don’t know I LOVE weather in transition.) But, as soon as we started to shoot it began to rain again. It rained lightly for about 10 minutes (enough for us to wait it out in the car) then stopped again so we went for take 2. Then when we got to the beach it tried to rain us out again but not enough to quit, just barely a sprinkle. In any case, very strange weather that yes, creates a little stress but as usual it is worth it for the beautiful drama produced in the sky and atmosphere.
Alexandra brought a few different outfits including a cheerleading uniform. She’s been cheering now on the Varsity squad for I think 3 years so it’s nice to incorporate that into her shoot. I also loved her cowboy hat! Below is my very favorite from the shoot, then it starts back in order.
Alexandra it was a pleasure to be your senior portrait photographer and I wish you an amazing senior year!!
