Davy and Colby are such a cute couple! We had a really great time planning and shooting this engagement session in the neighborhood and marina near my studio. We talked through the locations, props and clothing and Davy did an awesome job putting it all together. I love this lace dress below! I think she said it was Urban Outfitters – you really can’t go wrong there.
I’ve noticed that when couples I work with tell me about the proposal it so often includes family -which is really sweet. Colby proposed to Davy on a carriage ride during a family vacation in Wilmington, NC. Both families were there and knew what was coming – how fun! I repeat: both families vacationed together. Want to be sure you didn’t miss that part since it’s pretty amazing even before the wedding – what a great time they’ll all have celebrating at the reception!
Davy and Colby will be married in March at Eastminster Presbyterian with a tented reception following at Ryckman Park. I’m sooo looking forward to seeing the beautiful details that will go into this nautical themed wedding!

P.S. It’s Labor Day! Hope everyone’s having a great time! I’m about to head out to the pool with the kiddos, unfortunately retail isn’t closed on Labor Day so my husband is at the store -boo!
