I’m really having a great time with engagement shoots lately and getting to know such fun and sweet people like Sammy and Jeff! I first met these guys at the wedding of Sammy’s brother Colby, (he and Davy had the nautical inspired Ryckman Park wedding -click if you missed it!) At that time I already had Sammy and Jeff on the calendar for their October wedding but had yet to meet them since they were both living out of town and busy finishing master degrees at different schools. It is such an added bonus to really know your bride and groom when it comes to the photography of their wedding day. For Sammy and Jeff, I’m not only getting to know them as a couple but I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a wedding with their family already and even hanging out with Sammy’s mom through the photography workshops at the studio! I can’t say it often enough; I love this aspect of my job, being a part of a family as I have the pleasure and responsibility to capture the most special moments in life.
While Sammy grew up here in Indialantic, Jeff grew up mostly on the west coast of Florida. Sammy just finished her masters in Marine Biology while Jeff completed his for architecture. They met five years ago during spring break with Jeff’s opening line, “Hi girl I don’t know.” It was enough to start a conversation that led them years later to a much more serious proposal! Sammy and Jeff laughed a lot together throughout their engagement session, soaking in all the excitement and anticipation of this season of life.
The details they’ve shared with me so far regarding wedding plans are spectacular. I LOVE the pinstriped linen suits for the guys and pretty much everything on Sammy’s Pinterest page makes me want to plan my wedding all over again. I can’t wait to photograph their Crowne Plaza Wedding!
Seriously how cute is this dress?
You guys are toooo cute!
