I’ve started offering a new mobile studio service in St. Augustine for business head shots, marketing and website photography. This allows me to capture the entire staff in a work place and anything else useful for branding and advertising purposes, without anyone having to leave their office for very long. I previously posted a few examples from a local medical office. Today I’m sharing some of the work I recently completed for Scine & Scine Accounting in St. Augustine. After setting up my studio lighting and backdrop in their conference room, I was able to capture these head shots quickly and conveniently for all the staff. I spent some extra time with Dominic Scine and Michael Scine, owners and brothers, in order to provide them with a few extra options.
When I start working with a new client booking business head shots, the first step is choosing a style. Business portraits can be captured outdoors or indoors, with a backdrop or without. Several things factor into that decision process including the type of business, branding and message. For a growing business like Scine & Scine, an important factor is repeatability. Whatever we decided to go with, we needed to be able to repeat it with future staff additions in a consistent way. This medium grey backdrop is more modern than the old fashioned blue, looks great on a website, is easily extracted if needed and future additions will be no problem.
I’m planning a tips post coming soon full of all my suggestions for business head shots – from choosing a style to what to wear (and remembering to iron!) Watch for that if this is something you’re planning to do in the near future!
