Happy Thanksgiving! I know I’m a day late but I hope you’re still enjoying some down time, warm candles burning, leftovers and maybe a Christmas movie with some snuggles on the couch… I think my favorite thing yesterday was falling asleep early and waking up to discover I slept for 10 hours! Compared to my usual 6 lately I feel like a MILLION BUCKS. I did enjoy the family time and food too but oh-my-gosh my blankets were so cozy in my bed, I could have stayed there all day.
No black Friday shopping for me today – definitely not a fan! The thought of the crowd combined with the shopping frenzy sounds actually less fun to me than editing photos with a little side of holiday grinchyness. Seriously, it always leaves me feeling grumpy when I’m blatantly reminded of the turns we’ve taken in the celebration of Christmas combined with the general “more-more-more” issues we face as a country. That doesn’t mean I don’t love to shop and give gifts and get great deals so I’ll stop there before I dive too deep! Anyway I’m going with editing photos today – and since my album lab has a Dec.1 deadline for holiday delivery, I don’t really have much choice but to spend every spare minute trying to get in as many orders as I can for my clients by that date. I’ll definitely be scanning the cyber Monday specials though!
I photographed newborn Amy at her home in Viera last week. Such a sweet bundle. You might wonder about the knitting needles… I grabbed a shot of them because there was a reason the blanket wasn’t quite finished… Amy surprised her parents and arrived 4 weeks early! I thought it would be a sweet memory for her mom one day even though right now it’s probably was a little stressful having a baby arrive before everything is ready. And how SWEET is her brother?! Love.
